When the PSA Finals invested in a new court 3 years ago it was going to be one of the most advanced courts on the world circuit. Naturally they needed a very experienced team, to manage the installation, strike and storage of the court. We use 8 technicians for 6 days to install and 8 for 4 days for the strike.
Building the court involves the construction of a plinth as well as handling the glass walls, light rig and sprung floor. All which needs to be put together with only a 3mm tolerance. We were also asked to design the container in which the court is transported and provide storage throughout the year when the court is not in use.
